On 1 October 2026, we held the first PIAG Masterclass in International Investment Law, led by Professor Zachary Douglas KC and hosted by Freshfields, in collaboration with the International Arbitration Institute (IAI).

When we created PIAG in February 2025, we wanted to create a space where Paris-based practitioners could step back from their day-to-day casework and reflect together on developments in ISDS. This masterclass took that idea further: a longer, more focused and intimate format, bringing together senior associates and counsel for an afternoon of discussion and a chance to revisit questions that case deadlines rarely leave time to explore.
